About Me
Hello, I'm Rebecca, a pluralistic counsellor and psychotherapist dedicated to providing a safe, supportive, confidential, and non-judgemental space for adults. I understand that seeking support can feel daunting, and I aim to create an environment where you feel heard, valued, and accepted exactly as you are. I offer counselling in-person in Sligo and also provide counselling sessions online or over the phone.
My practice is grounded in a pluralistic, humanistic, and person-centred approach. I believe that every individual is unique, and there is no single approach that works for everyone. Together, we will work collaboratively to find the therapeutic approaches that best meet your individual needs, goals, and experiences.
I support adults experiencing a range of difficulties, including anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, stress, relationship challenges, grief and loss, and the impact of trauma. I have experience working with individuals who have experienced domestic abuse and sexual trauma, offering a compassionate and trauma-informed space where clients can safely explore their experiences and work towards healing and recovery.
At the heart of my work is the belief that you are the expert on your own life. My role is to walk alongside you, offering empathy, understanding, and professional support as we explore your experiences together. Through a trusting therapeutic relationship, I hope to help you gain insight, build resilience, and create meaningful and lasting change.
Whether you are facing a specific challenge, processing past experiences, or simply seeking a space to reflect and better understand yourself, I am here to support you on your journey towards greater wellbeing and emotional health.
